Flower Press

I have fond memories from my childhood of collecting small flowers and four-leaf clovers out of the gardens at my grandparents’ house and squishing them into books to find years later dried and nicely preserved.

Now I have my own children with a  keen sense of adventure, we are constantly collecting leaves and interesting bits and pieces. I made each of them a flower press to preserve some of their collection to use in their creative endeavours.  And now I’m offering them to you to use in your adventures!

The larger A5 size is great for large flowers and big collections. The A6 size is perfect for putting in an adventure kit to take along on hikes, bushwalks and adventures.

Each press consists of two layers of wood, nicely finished, four wingnuts and washers to hold everything together, as well as two layers of cardboard and two sheets of blotting paper.

The wooden layers are customisable so you can add sayings, images or choose one of the designs you see here.
